The Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge cap out at 25W charging, while the S26 Ultra stays locked at 45W. That means Samsung hasn’t improved charging speeds across three straight generations.
Chinese certification documents reveal Samsung’s conservative approach continues into 2026. The Galaxy S26 Pro and new S26 Edge will both max out at 25W wired charging. Meanwhile, the S26 Ultra sticks with 45W speeds that first appeared on the Galaxy S22 Ultra back in 2022.

Samsung’s 45W charging takes over 60 minutes for a complete charge.
