Samsung Electronics shared its financial results for the second quarter of 2025. The report gives us details about the performance of its mobile, display, and semiconductor businesses. Furthermore, it gives a glimpse of what’s coming later this year.
Samsung Shares a Complete Report About Its Businesses and Teases Entrance in the Extended Reality Gadgets Market
The Mobile eXperience (MX) and Networks divisions made KRW 29.2 trillion in revenue and KRW 3.1 trillion in operating profit. Even though smartphone shipments dropped compared to the first quarter, both revenue and profit grew compared to the same time last year. This drop is normal because the quarter was between the launch of the Galaxy S25 series and the arrival of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 phones. Samsung says strong sales of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy A series, and Galaxy tablets helped keep profits solid.
For the second half of 2025, Samsung will focus on releasing new flagship phones, including foldables and the S25 lineup. They also plan to highlight AI features in their more affordable A-series phones. AI will also become a bigger part of their tablets and wearable devices.
Samsung also revealed plans to expand the Galaxy lineup with new device types like XR gadgets and “TriFold devices.” This likely confirms the rumored Galaxy Z TriFold phone. On the chip side, Samsung’s LSI division is working to improve the Exynos processor for a big customer’s flagship phones in 2026. The Foundry Business will increase production of the Exynos 2600 using its advanced 2nm technology.
Samsung’s Device Solutions division brought in KRW 27.9 trillion in revenue but faced some challenges due to inventory adjustments and export rules related to China. Finally, Samsung Display earned KRW 6.4 trillion in revenue with good sales of smartphones, IT, and car displays. QD-OLED monitor panels are selling well, especially for gaming, and Samsung plans to grow this product line even more.
The company has been collecting positive results in general, and growth is expected for the coming years.
