Word of mouth fed me for years. I did solid work. Clients told other clients. Business trickled in. It was comfortable. Safe. Nicely under the radar and you have no idea how grateful I am to my existing clients.
But it meant I missed out on countless opportunities I could have gotten. Referrals, while wonderful, only take you so far. People can’t hire you if they don’t even know you exist.
