Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition’s 2026 Roadmap

Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition 3

Publisher and developer Firefly Studios has unveiled the 2026 roadmap for real-time strategy game Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition, confirming that two more pieces of DLC and two free updates are slated to drop in spring and summer.

The first stop comes as soon as April 21, 2026, when the paid Baldwin & Bullseye DLC launches, accompanied by a free update that introduces a new map pack and the third co-op trail named The Ravens’ Duet.

Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition 2026 Roadmap

The Baldwin & Bullseye DLC introduces the two new CPU lords that give it its name. Where the former’s “army boasts a blend of devoted Crusader soldiers and Bedouin mercenaries”, the latter “venerates defence above all else and guards his castle with a committed battalion of crossbowmen.”

Here is a full look at Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition’s 2026 roadmap as it currently stands:

Spring Update

DLC

  • Baldwin (CPU)
  • Bullseye (CPU)
  • Sands of Time Trail: Trail of the Eagle

Free Update

  • Co-op trail #3: The Ravens’ Duet
  • Map Pack

Summer Update

DLC

  • The Surgeon (CPU)
  • Baibars (CPU)
  • Sands of Time Trail: Trail of the Vulture

Free Update

  • Co-op trail #4: Dance of Scorpions
  • Map Pack

By the look of it, summer brings yet another DLC featuring two new lords and a Sands of Time Trail, alongside a free update that focuses on co-op and maps, although this one has yet to receive a date.

The Surgeon “is a healer who excels at economic stability and great defensive strength,” while Baibars is a “slave-turned-sultan ruler who attacks with ferocity in his desire to succeed,” according to the developer.

All in all, Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition’s 2026 roadmap is rather symmetrical, promising more content for the real-time strategy game than originally planned.

It remains to be seen whether Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition’s 2026 roadmap will extend into autumn and winter, but even if it doesn’t, the announced content should give us plenty to dig our teeth into.
