Frostliner, a post-apocalyptic city builder set in a world where the world has frozen over, has been announced and will launch in 2026.
The announcement trailer shows off what to expect, with multiple-choice scenarios highlighted as being a key feature of the game that will affect exactly how things progress during your journey.
Players will be tasked with expanding their train as they attempt to outrun the cold, adding new facilities, new resources, and new areas that keep passengers alive – think Snowpiercer but slightly less messed up as a concept. They’ll also need to stop to find fuel and other tools to keep the train moving, which will allow scavengers to attempt to destroy everything that you’ve built and take it for themselves. Per the Steam page, the game will also have a ‘linear narrative’, meaning that there’s a throughline of events that can change the world around the train.
