TCL launches T7M Ultra SQD-Mini LED TV with 4K 150Hz, 3000nits XDR brightness & Dolby Atmos

TCL has launched the T7M Ultra SQD-Mini LED TV in China, which it describes as the first SQD-Mini LED TV for the living room. It comes in four sizes: 64-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch, with prices ranging from 6,799 yuan ($987) to 15,999 yuan ($2,323).

The T7M Ultra uses SQD-Mini LED technology, which upgrades traditional Mini LED backlighting. TCL has equipped the TV with up to 2,176 local dimming zones, delivering precise light control and better contrast. The display achieves a 100% BT.2020 color gamut, using enhanced quantum dot technology for purer red, green, and blue tones.

The TV features the Super Butterfly Wing Starlight panel, designed to improve contrast, create deeper blacks, and enhance light transmission. TCL has included XDR technology, which enables the panel to reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The TV supports 4K resolution with a 150Hz refresh rate and a high refresh mode that pushes performance up to 300Hz.

The T7M Ultra features an HVA 2.0 panel for better contrast and reduced reflections, dual-layer coatings for bright environments, and a reduced optical distance design for improved light control. It is 60mm thick, allowing near wall-flush installations.

For audio, the TV comes with an Onkyo 2.1.2 channel Hi-Fi audio system, which includes upward-firing speakers and a dedicated subwoofer. TCL has also added support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

In terms of performance, the T7M Ultra is powered by a quad-core A73 processor, G57 MC1 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of storage. It runs on Lingkong UI 3.0, featuring a card-based interface with no boot ads and smooth multitasking. The system uses Fuxi AI, offering features like AI-based content recommendations, image enhancements, and smart controls.

The TV includes four HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48Gbps bandwidth, USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, and dual-band WiFi. TCL has also added advanced gaming features like variable refresh rate (VRR) and motion enhancement, ensuring smoother gameplay.
