Teamfight Tactics is heading to the stars once again, but this time the experience will be divine. Space Gods, TFT’s Set 17, revisits a familiar theme and elevates it into something made of cosmic power. If past sets explored the galaxy, this one goes beyond the final frontier by letting gods shape every match.

The new set arrives on PBE on March 31st and fully launches on April 15th across both PC and mobile. The biggest change is the removal of the classic carousel, which has been replaced by a new system called the Realm of the Gods. Instead of fighting over components and emblems, players now receive direct offerings from powerful gods.

If you’re familiar with the roguelike game Hades, then TFT Space Gods will feel even more like home. The Realm of the Gods mechanic feels like a refined, less combative version of the Trial of the Gods system from Hades. Players are presented with two gods at the start and return to them throughout the match to pick rewards. Choosing the same god multiple times leads to a powerful blessing later in the game.

The new TFT mechanic is easy to understand, it adds a stronger layer of strategy and identity to every run without overcomplicating the experience.

Gods, Gods, Gods

The gods are the heart of the set, and they hold the keys to your cosmic destiny. They guide your strategy, influence your economy, and set the pace of your board. Each one offers a different path, giving players room to adapt or commit.

And according to set designer Noemi Coute, fully committing to a single god does not confer extra benefits over partial commitment, which keeps decisions flexible and avoids punishing adaptation. She also confirmed that the gods’ attitudes in-game are purely cosmetic and exist only for flavor — so don’t be afraid to push them a little.

Here are all the gods from TFT Set 17, Space Gods

  • Soraka, God of Stars
  • Yasuo, God of the Abyss
  • Ahri, God of Opulence
  • Thresh, God of Pacts
  • Kayle, God of Order
  • Varus, God of Love
  • Evelynn, God of Temptation
  • Ekko, God of Time
  • Aurelion Sol, God of Wonders

Soraka supports long fights and survivability, making her a safe anchor for players who want to scale, while Yasuo sits at the opposite end of the galaxy with aggressive power that rewards early momentum and fearless play.

Ahri and Thresh both deal with resources, but in different ways. Ahri builds a steady economy and gives you control over the pace of the game, while Thresh introduces more unpredictable rewards that can open new paths towards the stars mid-game.

Kayle focuses on structure and steady growth, rewarding disciplined play. Varus improves consistency through shop manipulation and unit access. Evelynn thrives on risk and temptation, offering explosive spikes at the cost of safety, whereas Ekko keeps things one step ahead by bending time, accelerating your items, and helping you stay ahead of the lobby.

A Set Worth Worshipping

Space Gods feels like a confident evolution of TFT.

Removing the carousel is a bold choice that might seem drastic, but the new encounter system is smoother and more engaging than the previous one. It gives players more control while keeping the unpredictability that makes each TFT match exciting. And if we step back and look at the overall theme, the return to a space theme doesn’t feel repetitive. Instead, it feels refined and purposeful.

In terms of traits and units, the blend of science fiction and fantasy creates a unique atmosphere that sets it apart from previous sets. Traits like Meeple, Anima, and Dark Star add creativity, while Factory New and Fateweaver push flexibility even further — but we’ll leave more details out for you to discover.

And then,a s cherry on top, the art is exceptional, deserving its own spotlight. TFT is no stranger to beautiful sceneries, arenas, little legends, and even new units. But Space Gods just take it one step closer to stardom. Every god looks and feels powerful, with bold visuals and distinct identities.

Space Gods launches on April 15 and it is ready to take TFT to new heights among the stars.
