Every year, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona turns into a showcase for smartphone brands trying to prove they belong in the conversation. TECNO has been steadily building its presence at the event, and this year is no different. The company just announced its plans for TECNO MWC 2026, and it’s going all-in on AI across its entire product lineup.
The show runs from March 2-5, and TECNO’s booth at Hall 7 will be themed around “Pioneering the Connection of Intelligence.” That’s a mouthful, but the gist is pretty simple. TECNO wants to show that its AI features aren’t just limited to phones anymore. They’re spreading across laptops, tablets, and accessories too.
What TECNO is actually showing off
The star of the show will likely be the CAMON 50 Series, the latest version of TECNO’s camera-focused phone line. We already know a bit about these phones thanks to Google Play Console listings that surfaced in recent weeks. According to those leaks, the phones will run Android 16 out of the box with a MediaTek chip and 8GB of RAM. TECNO says the series will feature smarter scene recognition and AI-powered photo processing. Given the company’s recent camera tech breakthroughs, it’ll be interesting to see if any of that trickles down to the CAMON 50.
TECNO is also bringing the POVA 8 Series, which focuses more on battery life and everyday performance. The company didn’t share many specifics yet, but the POVA line has always been about giving users long-lasting phones that don’t cost a fortune.
Beyond phones, TECNO MWC 2026 will include upgrades to OneLeap, the company’s cross-device platform. OneLeap lets you transfer files and share screens between TECNO phones, laptops, and tablets. The updated version promises smoother handoffs and better data transfer between devices.
TECNO also teased “conceptual designs and technology prototypes” that will show up for the first time at the event. Last year at MWC, the company showed off its ultra-thin Phantom Ultimate 2 tri-fold concept and the super-slim Spark Slim phone. So whatever they’re cooking up this time around could be worth keeping an eye on.
