VALORANT Mobile is currently going through multiple playtests in China and, most recently, an English version of the game was revealed.
According to claims made by multiple users, this English version is believed to be the global version. However, the title’s Publishing Lead, Dave Shinn, has called these claims fake rumours.

He explained on his X (Twitter) handle that the videos circulating on the internet are actually from the latest VALORANT Mobile China beta, which now supports English language.
“I’m excited to see the excitement for the CN beta. To be clear: if there was a ‘new global build’ out there, you’d have heard about it through VAL channels. Don’t get scammed,” Shinn stated.
In fact, fans will have to wait an indefinite amount of time for any updates regarding VALORANT Mobile’s global version, as Riot Games is currently focused solely on the Chinese region.
While announcing pre-registrations for the game earlier this year, Head of VALORANT Studios, Anna Donlon, shared: “China has one of the largest and most competitive mobile FPS communities in the world.
“Since Lightspeed is already a trusted developer in the region, we think it makes sense to start more locally, where their mobile expertise shines, before we finalise our plans to expand to other regions.”
VALORANT Mobile Release Date & Features
While it is expected to get a concrete release date for VALORANT Mobile China by the end of 2025 at the very least, there could be delays as well.
However, the game is confirmed to include at least 16 agents at launch, along with six maps ported from the PC version. Moreover, Riot Games will also launch two mobile-exclusive maps — Shipyard and Ancient Village.
The title will also feature a replay system right from the beginning, as confirmed by multiple gameplay videos and trusted sources.
VALORANT Mobile, at the moment, is one of the most anticipated mobile titles and could be exactly what the mobile esports scene needs.
