The latest update from Microsoft for its Windows 11 software brings good news to Android users. This was shown on Microsoft’s blog for Windows 11, revealing that versions 24H2 (Build 26100) and 25H2 (Build 26200) will arrive for the Release Preview Channel. This update has a feature that pairs with Android devices that Microsoft launched last year in May. It’s called “Cross-Device Resume”. Now, the feature is circulating, though it was limited then.

According to the patch notes, the Cross-Device Resume allows Android users to continue on their PC based on the apps (like Spotify for music playback, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and even browsing sessions) and services they use.
The post also adds that users of phones made by Samsung, Vivo, HONOR, and OPPO, can resume online files and continue working on the PC. This is still possible even after opening the Microsoft Copilot app from their phone. Though for Vivo phone users, Microsoft says they can pause their browsing on their phone and continue on their PC.
It will take a little time for it to circulate as it’s an update for its Release Preview Channel. However, the remainder of version 24H2 (Build 26100) and 25H2 (Build 26200) can be read on the Windows blog.
Microsoft has been on this plan to place its Windows software closer to Android for cross-device compatibility, allowing users to access their favourite mobile apps on their computer. This feature enables users to share files between their PC and Android device. With this feature, no doubt Android users are enjoying a better browsing experience.
