Meta is testing an Instagram Plus subscription service in some markets, like the Philippines, Mexico, and Japan. The subscription is priced at PHP 65 / MXN 39 / JPY 319 which is around $2 for Mexico and Japan, and $1 for the Philippines.
After paying the price, you’ll get some exclusive features in return, including the ability to create multiple story audiences, get story rewatch insights, search your story viewer list, preview stories, extend your story’s expiration by an additional 24 hours, send super hearts to stories, and spotlight your story.
In the countries where it’s being tested, the subscription service comes with an initial free month plan for first-timers. We don’t know for sure if other countries will get this service. It’s expected that Meta will make that clear eventually.
