Battlefield 6: Season 2 heads into its grand finale tomorrow – Hunter/Prey introduces a new vehicle, and Operations from BF1 are back

Battlefield 6 Season 2 is getting a ton of new content. This includes a new game mode, a new vehicle, and more.

Battlefield 6: Season 2 is getting another major content update soon. Hunter/Prey marks the third and final chapter of Season 2, following Extreme Measures and Nightfall.

Patch 1.2.3.0 is set to launch on April 14and will deliver new content as well as several improvements. Included are the limited-time Operations mode Augur, a new vehicle, a bonus track for the Battle Pass, and more.

When does the Season 2 update go live?

Starting at 11 a.m. CEST tomorrow, April 14, you can download update 1.2.3.0.The content will then be playable starting at 2 p.m. on the same day.

All major new features at a glance:

  • New content for the Battle Pass:You can unlock additional gear and cosmetic items as part of Hunter/Prey.
  • Operation Augurbrings back BF1-style operations: Here, NATO aims to recover its own satellite defense system from the Pax Armata. The sprawling battlefield spans two connected maps. The battle begins on the Contaminated map and then expands to Hagental Base. While one team aims to defend the base, the other must try to capture it. The mode is available for a limited time and is designed to place a strong emphasis on teamplay.
  • New Vehicle:The LTV is a four-seat NATO vehicle designed for defense that not only serves as your squad’s spawn point but also provides resupply stations for ammunition and health.

  • New Weapon:The “Machete Ripper14” is designed as a melee blade and allows you to take out your opponents at close range. You can earn it through the Hunter/Prey Battle Pass.
  • New Training Path in REDSEC Battle Royale:The Hazmat Breacher introduces a new role for the Assault class in Battle Royale, focusing on smoke grenades to flush enemies out of their hiding spots, while the Hazmat Breacher protects themselves from the negative effects with a mask.

Further Improvements

  • You now earn additionalWeapon and Vehicle XP while playing, which should make progression feel more rewarding overall. You generally gain more experience in Multiplayer and Battle Royale. Additionally, Gauntlet progression should feel more satisfying because time spent in a match and kill and assist scores in Battle Royale are now taken into account.
  • Loot in Battle Royale and Gauntlet will beadjusted and rebalanced, including Strike Packages and armor pieces. Overall, the modes should feel more consistent and rewarding.
  • There will also be changes to direct combat feedback. Among other things, hit sounds will now be clearer, damage will be easier and faster to recognize, and projectile behavior will be implemented more consistently.
  • Defibrillators and the AJ-03 COAG Med Pen are being updated. Attachments, animations, andthe display of challengesare also receiving improvements.
  • Visual adjustments have also been made to menus, the Battle Pass, localization, the Shop, and more to improveclarity and consistency
