Bengaluru – Concerns over ‘corporate jihad’ were raised at a special dialogue organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in Bengaluru on 16 May.

Shri. Mohan Gowda, Karnataka State Spokesperson of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, said that the aggressive jihad mindset, which began in 711 AD, has now taken various forms, including ‘love jihad’, ‘land jihad’, and more recently ‘corporate jihad’.

Speaking at the event held at Sathyapramoda Kalyana Mantapa in Basavanagudi, Shri. Mohan Gowda stated that systematic attempts are being made to weaken India’s unity and disturb demographic balance through agendas such as “Vision 2047” and “Ghazwa-e-Hind”.

He claimed that Hindu women employees in TCS have faced severe harassment for the past six years, including pressure to offer namaz for promotions, consume beef for salary hikes, and tolerate insults against Hindu Gods.

Shri. Gowda stressed the need to create awareness under the campaign “Beti Surakshit, Rashtra Surakshit” for the protection of Hindu society and women. He said Hindu society requires two important forms of awareness – First is ‘self-awareness’ (Swabodh), that is, pride and understanding of one’s rich heritage and Dharma. The second is ‘awareness of enemy threats’ (Shatrubodh), that is, the wisdom to identify forces trying to divide society.

Smt. Shakunthala Iyer, co-founder of Start-Up Basket, warned that extremist influences are subtly increasing in corporate, educational, and social sectors. She noted that, in the name of personal freedom, family values, culture, and religious traditions are gradually weakening. She described the growing distance of youth in metropolitan cities from family guidance and cultural values as dangerous.

Smt. Iyer further opined that such incidents should not be hidden but discussed openly in public. She emphasised the need to build a strong platform to provide legal, social, and psychological support to victims.
