These days, there’s no shortage of retro gaming handhelds on the market, with different brands, models and gimmicks available pretty much anywhere you look. That in mind, gaming brand AYANEO recently unveiled its new handheld, which greatly resembles the original Nintendo Game Boy.
More specifically, we’re referring to the KONKR Pocket Block, which as you can tell falls under AYANEO’s KONKR sub-brand. The Pocket Block comes with a heavily retro-inspired design, with a full set of controls save for an analogue stick. The device was shown off during AYANEO’s Product Sharing Session on its official YouTube channel, which you can view below.
AYANEO didn’t reveal too much details about the device however, although the company says that the handheld will come with “AI.” As for hardware, it does feature some of the usual tidbits including a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s also expected to come with a 3500mAh battery, although at this point we still have to wait for official details from AYANEO.
A while back, the company also showed off the Neo Next 2, although it packs some big differences when compared to the Pocket Block. Priced at $1799, it runs on Windows and is powered by an AMD Ryzen processor, and also comes with a 165Hz display.
