A new entrant in India’s smart safety and monitoring space, the Motorola HALO Smart Sensor is now available for deployment across a wide range of privacy-sensitive environments. Introduced by Arya Omnitalk, the HALO sensor moves away from traditional camera- or microphone-based surveillance, instead using 16 advanced onboard sensors to deliver real-time environmental and safety insights—without compromising user privacy.

The solution is designed for locations where conventional surveillance methods may be intrusive or unsuitable, such as educational institutions, healthcare facilities, hospitality venues, government buildings, and industrial spaces. It enables schools to create vape-free zones, hospitals to track indoor air quality, and public infrastructure managers to detect safety incidents in real time—all while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

The key features are:

  • Rapid occupancy changes and abnormal noise levels
  •  Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified, reliable connectivity
  • Edge and cloud processing ready
  • Browser-based secure access with intuitive interface
  • Compact, modular design that fits diverse environments

The sensor detects a broad range of environmental and behavioral triggers, including CO, CO₂, NO₂, TVOCs, humidity, vaping and THC presence, gunshots, panic phrases, verbal aggression, and abnormal noise or occupancy patterns. It operates over Power over Ethernet (PoE) and supports both edge and cloud processing, offering ease of installation and deployment flexibility.

With a browser-based secure interface and compatibility with standard VMS, BMS, and FMS platforms, the Smart Sensor integrates smoothly into existing infrastructure. Its compact and modular form factor allows it to adapt to various physical environments, from metro stations to manufacturing plants.

The product aligns with key national standards and guidelines, including NAAC, NEP 2020, OSHA, Smart Cities Mission, and indoor air quality regulations, making it particularly suitable for institutions and public infrastructure projects focused on compliance and wellness.

Positioned as a future-ready tool for safety and situational awareness, the Smart Sensor offers incident detection without the privacy trade-offs of video surveillance. It empowers organizations to maintain high levels of awareness while building trust with users through its non-intrusive, data-driven design.
