The second DLC for Against the Storm, Nightwatchers, will be released on July 31, 2025, for PC. In this expansion for the roguelite city-builder by Eremite Games, yet another species is volunteering to live in your settlements: bats.

Bats are very hardy, stubborn folks and can throw other species out of their settlements to set an example and motivate the remaining inhabitants to work harder. Their Resolve increases in the event other people leave the settlement as well, as they are desperate to show how strong they are and how much they despise weakness.

Their strengths shine especially in the two new biomes the expansion brings, among them the bleak Rocky Ravine. Not only will their determination be put to the test here, but they can also flex their skills in metallurgy, as these regions are rich in minerals and ores.

The Bamboo Flats are the other biome coming with this DLC. They contain a creature called the giant Fluffbeak, which can be a powerful ally for any settlement. By fulfilling its needs, you can get it to enrich the area’s barren soil.

Alongside this content come new orders, world events, rewards, and soundtrack pieces as part of the DLC, but that’s not all players can look forward to: A free update launching with the DLC brings a new hub city upgrade, mechanical expansions, another legendary cornerstone, and other additions.

Although Nightwatchers is only coming to PC for the moment, publisher Hooded Horse already stated that news around a console launch will follow at a later date.
