Case registered under POCSO
Action taken following MP Anil Bonde’s complaint.

Amravati, Maharashtra: Aayan Ahmed Tanveer Ahmed (19), a resident of the Paratwada area, has been arrested for the sexual exploitation of 180 minor girls. Over 350 videos and photographs relating to these acts were circulated. Following his arrest, a case has been registered against him under the POCSO Act. As the Amravati police initially failed to take action, BJP MP Anil Bonde personally met the Superintendent of Police to file a formal complaint, which led to the arrest.
MP Anil Bonde stated, “Through these videos, the girls are being threatened with death. They are being coerced and extorted for money, and are being pushed into prostitution. Despite this, the police took no action. This is organised crime. If the accused had not been charged and arrested, we would have launched a fierce protest.”

The videos show the accused engaging in obscene acts with various girls, many of whom appear to be minors. Efforts are underway to identify the victims and their parents; however, due to fear, neither the girls nor their families have come forward yet.
Police face challenge in removing objectionable videos
The police have informed the Maharashtra Cyber Department and requested that these objectionable videos be removed from social media platforms, said Rural Superintendent of Police Vishal Anand. The police are also taking precautions to ensure that the identities of the victim girls and their families are not disclosed.
