Another historic victory in the movement for temple reclamation
“…Now, Kashi and Mathura remain!” – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

The Indore High Court has affirmed, through law and evidence, that the historic ‘Bhojshala’ located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, is the sacred Shri Vagdevi (Shri Saraswati) Temple belonging to Hindus.
This verdict is not merely the victory of a structure, but a grand triumph of historical truth that had been suppressed for centuries, and a significant moment in ongoing efforts related to liberation of temples encroached upon by foreign Islamic invaders.
In a landmark verdict in the decades-old Bhojshala dispute, the High Court has declared Dhar Bhojshala to be a temple of Goddess Vagdevi, based on the detailed findings submitted by the ASI.

While the outcome marks a key development, the movement for the reclamation of Bhojshala has involved sustained efforts over time, including contributions from Shri. Navalkishore Sharma, the leader of the Bhojshala Mukti Andolan, and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti wholeheartedly welcomes this historic verdict and proclaims with resolve: “…Now, Kashi and Mathura remain!”
Today the Indore High Court has delivered a historic verdict, the Court has granted the Hindu side the right to worship and has recognised the Bhojshala complex as belonging to Raja Bhoj.

Outcome of Hindu Janagruti campaigns and Hindu Adiveshan
For the reclamation of Bhojshala in Dhar, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti not only led street-level protests but also conducted widespread awareness campaigns at the national level. Through the national platform of the ‘Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav’ (All India Hindu Rashtra Convention) held annually in Goa, legal and strategic resolutions regarding this issue were passed every year, helping shape the direction of the movement.
Hindu organisations from across the country consistently appealed to both the Madhya Pradesh Government and the Central Government regarding this matter. With today’s historic verdict by the court, justice has finally been served, honouring the sentiments of millions of Hindus and validating the Samiti’s prolonged movement.
The struggle for Kashi and Mathura shall continue
On this occasion, the National Spokesperson of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Shri. Ramesh Shinde, stated clearly that it was not just one or two Hindu temples in Bharat that had been encroached upon. Foreign invaders and religious extremists had taken advantage of the tolerance of Hindus to illegally occupy thousands of temples, falsely claiming ownership over them. He stated that the verdicts in Ayodhya and Dhar (Bhojshala) had proven that falsehood could not survive forever, and the time had come for all encroached sites, from the Gyanvapi in Kashi to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura, to be fully liberated.
