We’ll reveal the exact times for the preload and release of Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred and provide live updates as the expansion launches.
The next major expansion for Diablo 4 is just around the corner, and this time it takes us to Skovos, where Mephisto’s legions are already lurking in the shadows.
So you can get started right on time when Lord of Hatred launches, we’ve summarized the official information on the release time and preload for you.
When does Lord of Hatred launch in Germany?
Blizzard announced the global launch schedule during the Campfire Chat on April 23. The global rollout officially begins on April 27 at 4:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). For us in Germany, due to the time difference, this means:
- Release Date:April 28
- Start Time:1:00 a.m. (CEST)
So you’d better brew yourself a strong pot of coffee if you want to jump right into the fight against evil from the very first minute.

All Details on Preload and Patch 3.0.0
To ensure that everything runs smoothly on release night (hopefully), Blizzard is fortunately offering a pre-download. This way, you can start downloading the game data to your hard drives right now without any stress.
The preload is already live:
- Preload Start: April 24 at 1:00 a.m. (CEST)
- Available for: Battle.net, Xbox, and PlayStation
An important detail for anyone who’s still undecided and hasn’t purchased the expansion: You can also pre-download the major Patch 3.0.0 at this time. This way, you’ll be fully prepared for the new, free content and extensive changes to the base game as soon as the servers unlock the new features.
We’ll be ready for you on Monday evening with a live ticker. There, we’ll keep you updated in real time on the current server status, any potential login issues, and all important developments surrounding the launch.
Will you be pulling an all-nighter and heading to Skovos right at 1:00 a.m., or will you take it easy and wait until the next evening to dive into the expansion? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
