Logan Marshall-Green has been tapped to star opposite Luke Grimes in CBS’ upcoming Yellowstone spinoff series Y: Marshals. Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton, bringing the character into a new chapter that blends law enforcement grit with the rugged sensibilities of the original series. With the Yellowstone Ranch now behind him, Kayce joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, using his skills as both a cowboy and a Navy SEAL to deliver range justice in Montana. The job comes with a steep price — balancing family, duty, and the psychological toll of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s escalating war on violence.
Marshall-Green will play Pete Calvin, a friend from Kayce’s military service, whose shared history with the ex-SEAL could play a pivotal role in the story. The series promises a blend of returning Yellowstone characters and fresh faces. “There’s going to be some familiar faces, but there’s going to be a lot of new faces too, so we’ll see how that all feels,” Grimes told People, keeping quiet on exactly who fans might see again.
