Caitlyn Ivey, the wife of NBA star Jaden Ivey, took to social media to address swirling narratives about the state of their relationship.
“If you know me you know I have never once abandoned that man through all the trials.. and I still haven’t now,” Caitlyn wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 1. “There is obviously a lot going on, so leave your conspiracies and your guesses to yourselves.”
Caitlyn and Jaden, 24, got married in 2022 and share son Noah, 3, daughter Shiloh, 2, and son Isaiah, 13 months.
In a livestream on Tuesday, March 31, Jaden claimed that Caitlyn had stopped speaking to him after he was waived by the Chicago Bulls for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

During a separate livestream on Monday, March 30, Jaden criticized the NBA for supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
Caitlyn pushed back against her husband’s assertion that she dropped contact with him after he was waived.
“We were communicating all morning of that day,” she claimed via her Instagram Story. “People say things for attention, do not be deceived.”
Caitlyn also shared a collage of vile DMs she’s received in the wake of her husband’s comments about their marriage.
“Of course you’re hopping on the bandwagon, treating Jaden like he’s nothing. You just wanted his money,” one said.
Another person said, “All these family pics, complete bulls***. It’s all a front. If it’s true that you turned your back on your husband, you’re a piece of s***. Your life is a f***ing lie.”
Caitlyn wrote, “These DM’s (and many more) over one lie spoke on my name.”
During his rambling livestream on Monday, Jaden took aim at the NBA for promoting Pride Month.
“The world can proclaim LGBTQ, right?” he said. “They proclaim Pride Month. And the NBA, they proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month, to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it in the streets. Unrighteousness.”
The livestream came after Jaden got combative in his social media comments with followers about religion.
”Catholicism is a false religion,” he wrote. “And is not the true Doctrine of Christ. [It] does not lead to salvation in Jesus Christ.”
Jaden, who has battled injuries throughout his young NBA career, discussed his mental health during a Tuesday appearance on the “Pinpoint Podcast.”
“I’ve almost committed suicide multiple times,” Jaden admitted. “And I’m not ashamed to say it. I’m not ashamed because God was merciful to keep me here. I had [oxycodone] pills in my hand. And my wife was telling me, ‘Don’t do this. Don’t go down this road.’”
