PUBG Mobile has unveiled details on its version 4.1 update, which includes several changes inspired by the battle royale title’s esports scene.
Players loading into matches can visit themed arenas inspired by the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025, beginning on November 24th.

As part of the update, the title’s classic mode features a range of themed visuals inspired by the season-ending esports event. Additionally, the Erangel and Livik maps feature an in-game version of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship venue.
Players who visit the venue can interact with a “special photo spot,” which grants a Champion Pack filled with high-value in-game items that could provide the upper hand during a match. Full teams that interact with the photo spot can earn the Crown of Glory, an in-game item capable of restoring the health and energy of themselves and nearby teammates.
Elsewhere, the version 4.1 update introduces a range of changes to the title’s weapon arsenal. Long-range damage drop-off for rifles could shake up the existing meta, while combat sound effects aim to improve awareness.
The patch notes have also teased upcoming collaborations. More details surrounding crossovers with ‘a luxury fashion house, a prestigious automobile brand, and the highly anticipated return of a global K-pop sensation’ are expected in the coming months.
PUBG Mobile’s Esports Support
Throughout 2025, KRAFTON and Level Infinite continues to support the PUBG Mobile esports scene at all levels.
On November 4th, PUBG Mobile Esports revealed a streamlined tournament application process, making it easier for event organisers to host third-party events.
In September, KRAFTON announced it would unite the PUBG and PUBG Mobile Global Championships into a single event taking place from November 24th to December 12th.
The introduction of esports-inspired arenas and cosmetic items into PUBG Mobile offers fans a new way of engaging with the title’s biggest tournament of the year. 40 teams from across the world will head to Bangkok, Thailand, to compete for a share of the $3m (~£2.3m) prize pool and a chance to be crowned world champion.
