Samsung is currently rolling out the May 2026 security patch. It has got to a number of Galaxy devices and is now getting to the Galaxy S22 series: the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The May 2026 security patch fixes 36 security issues. For the Galaxy S22, the update is 506.30MB in size and carries firmware version S90xNKSS9GZE5. It’s getting to its home country first, South Korea, with other countries expected to get it in the next few days.
To download the May 2026 security patch on your Galaxy S22, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The Galaxy S22 series are also the oldest regular, Plus, and Ultra devices eligible to get Samsung’s latest Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5.
