If you’ve been putting off a Samsung tablet purchase, that hesitation just got more expensive. The Samsung Galaxy Tab price increase now covers every tablet in Samsung’s US lineup, with no announcement and no changes to the hardware.
The full scope is pretty rough. The Galaxy Tab S11 now starts at $899, up $100 from its $799 launch price. The Tab S11 Ultra also climbs $100 at the base tier to $1,299. At the top end, the 1TB Tab S11 Ultra jumps to $1,899, up $280 from $1,619. Older models took hits too. The Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 FE Plus, Tab S10 Lite, Tab S10 Plus, and Tab A11 Plus each saw increases, with hikes ranging from $50 to $180 by storage tier. Even the 2024 Tab S10 Plus climbed by up to $180 on higher storage variants.
Samsung hasn’t officially explained the changes. Still, the likely driver is the ongoing memory shortage. AI data centers now consume enormous quantities of DRAM and NAND, which squeezes supply for consumer devices and pushes component costs higher across the industry.
This Follows a Familiar Pattern
This Samsung Galaxy Tab price increase didn’t come out of nowhere. Just two days ago, Samsung quietly raised prices on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, bumping two storage variants by $80 each. The Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25 FE also got price increases. So while the tablet hikes are the most sweeping, phones are getting the same treatment.
The Galaxy S26 series stays untouched for now. Earlier this year, Samsung kept Galaxy S26 prices steady, and that still holds. But everything else in the lineup is clearly fair game. Plus, Samsung isn’t alone here. Motorola raised Moto G prices, Microsoft bumped its Surface lineup by $500, and Sony raised the PS5 by $100 this month. Buying sooner rather than later seems like the smarter move right now.
