After months of anticipation, fans of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri finally have a reason to get excited. Produced by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures, Dhadak 2 has encountered delays—most notably a lengthy certification battle with the CBFC. But with hurdles behind them, the producers have locked in a new release and are now kicking off promotions in style.
Trailer Launch Set for July 11
Bollywood Hungama reports that the makers will unveil the Dhadak 2 trailer on Friday, July 11 at a high-profile event in Mumbai. The launch will be attended by the lead pair, director Shazia Iqbal, and producer Karan Johar. “Once the trailer is out, the promotions will begin in full swing,” the trade source reveals.
August 1 Release Date Confirmed
Following its clearance with a U/A 16+ certificate after several CBFC-mandated edits, Dhadak 2 is now confidently set to release in cinemas on August 1, 2025 . The film’s public debut coincides with a notable poster reveal, shared via Dharma Productions’ social media handle featuring a powerful image of intimacy and tension between the lead characters, accompanied by the tagline: “मरने और लड़ने में से एक को चुनना हो… तो लड़ना” .

About Dhadak 2
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is a spiritual remake of the Tamil hit Pariyerum Perumal. It is produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh under the banners of Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures. The film reunites Chaturvedi and Dimri in a story of love, resistance, and social defiance.
