GSC Game World has announced that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is coming to PS5 in late 2025.

The gritty RPG set in the radioactive zone around the failed Chornobyl nuclear powerplant in Ukraine will support DualSense controller features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Enhancements to the game using the PS5 Pro’s hardware will be available on that version of Sony’s console as well.

Stalker 2 was originally released on PC and Xbox Series X|S in 2024, receiving generally solid reviews despite obvious technical flaws. The game’s initial release had to be delayed so many times that even the developers ended up making jokes about it, though there are grim reasons behind the production setbacks — the invasion of Ukraine by Russia forced the entire studio to relocate and claimed the lives of some developers who had worked on the game.
