The eufy SoloCam S340 is 40% off and doesn’t need wires or a subscription

Most outdoor security cameras make you choose between convenience and capability. You either get a basic fixed-angle camera that’s easy to set up, or a more powerful system that needs wiring and a monthly cloud plan. The eufy SoloCam S340 tries to skip that trade-off entirely. Right now it’s marked down 40% on Amazon to $119.99, from a list price of $199.99.

The eufy SoloCam S340 runs on a removable solar panel included in the box. Just two hours of direct sunlight per day keeps it running continuously. However, there’s a built-in battery holds up to three months of charge as backup for cloudy stretches. No wires, no outlet needed.

The camera packs two lenses. It includes a 3K wide-angle lens for full-scene coverage and a 2K telephoto lens for zoomed-in detail, with 8x hybrid zoom. It rotates a full 360° and tilts 70°, so you can cover a driveway, side passage, and front yard from a single mount. Motion triggers auto-tracking, and a built-in spotlight kicks on at night for color footage rather than the usual black-and-white infrared. Two-way audio and a siren are onboard as well.

Storage is local with 8GB built in, and there’s no monthly fee to access your clips. If you want more, the HomeBase S380 adds up to 16TB of local storage and unlocks BionicMind AI features like facial recognition and pet detection. That’s a separate purchase, but the S340 works fine without it. One thing to note: it’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, so a 5GHz-only network won’t work.

If you’ve been looking to upgrade your outdoor security setup without dealing with subscriptions or installation headaches, this is a solid window to do it.
