The INIU SnapGo Air packs 25W wireless charging into an incredibly thin body

Most magnetic power banks ask you to make a trade-off. You get the convenience of wireless charging, but you also get a bulky slab sitting on the back of your phone all day. INIU is trying to change that with the INIU SnapGo Air, a 10,000mAh magnetic power bank that squeezes Qi2.2 wireless charging into a body just 0.5 inches thick.

The fastest wireless charging standard available today

One thing worth noting is that the INIU SnapGo Air comes with Qi2.2 certification. This is actually a very important distinction because most magnetic power banks you’ll find today top out at 15W wireless charging. This is because many of them still use the standard Qi2 protocol. The SnapGo Air bumps that up to 25W, making it one of the first power banks to carry official Qi2.2 certification.

To put that speed difference in perspective, INIU says the SnapGo Air can charge an iPhone 17 Pro from 20% to 50% in about 33 minutes wirelessly. A standard Qi wireless charger doing the same job takes around 63 minutes to hit the same mark. That’s close to a 30-minute gap, which is a bigger deal than you might think.

For those unfamiliar, Qi 2.2 is the latest evolution of the wireless charging standard from the Wireless Power Consortium. It builds on the magnetic alignment system that Qi2 introduced. Where Qi2 topped out at 15W, Qi2.2 raises it to 25W. The SnapGo Air is compatible with iPhones from the 12 through the 17 series, including the iPhone Air.

Fast wired charging when you need an urgent boost

Wireless charging is the main attraction, but the SnapGo Air also covers you when you need to top up in a hurry. The included USB-C GoCord cable delivers up to 45W wired output, which INIU says can push an iPhone 17 Pro from 20% to 78% in 25 minutes. So, if you need faster charging beyond 25W, you can always opt to go wired.

The GoCord design is actually rather convenient. It acts as both the charging cable for your device and the cable you use to recharge the power bank itself. This means you don’t have to worry about carrying extra accessories. A full recharge of the SnapGo Air takes around 1.8 hours via that same cable.

That dual-tasking approach keeps the whole setup cleaner than most portable chargers. One cable handles everything.

A design that actually feels premium

Now, don’t let its slim form factor fool you. INIU put some thought into the materials here. The SnapGo Air uses an anodized aluminum body with a soft-touch finish. It feels more like a purposeful accessory than an afterthought, which matters when it’s going to be attached to the back of your phone for chunks of the day.

The magnets use a 13N grip strength, which INIU says is strong enough to keep the power bank in place. Having a magnetic power bank that slides off at an inconvenient moment kind of defeats the purpose, so that grip rating is a practical detail, not just a spec.

On the side, there’s a small digital display that shows the current charge level clearly. You can see whether the bank is using fast charging speeds at a glance, rather than interpreting a row of LED dots.

Keeping your device safe while it charges

Speed is only useful if the charging process is safe, and the SnapGo Air handles temperature management through INIU’s TempGuard system. According to INIU, it monitors temperature 9,000 times per second and keeps the surface under 104F, which is 14F cooler than the industry standard. The power bank also includes an 18-layer Smart Protect feature. This helps with overcharge protection and short-circuit protection. There are also temperature-based safeguards in both charging and discharging modes.

Considering all the horror stories of exploding phone batteries and power banks catching on fire over the years, having these safeguards in place definitely helps with peace of mind.
