Xiaomi recently announced the launch of the POCO Pad C1, a new addition to its affordable tablet lineup. In case you’re wondering why it looks a bit too familiar, that’s because the POCO Pad C1 shares a lot of similarities with the Redmi Pad 2 9.7, although it does come with the signature POCO aesthetics.
In front is a 9.7-inch 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits, which is housed within a slim, metal unibody chassis. More importantly though, the POCO Pad C1 runs on the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chip, and while it won’t be a performance powerhouse it should be enough for most daily tasks such as content streaming, web browsing and social media use.

The tablet also comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with the option to expand storage up to 2TB via a microSD card. There’s a reasonably-large 7,600mAh battery inside, although it does charge a bit slowly at just 18W. On the software side, the tablet runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and likewise features baked-in AI features from both Xiaomi and Google.
Finally, the tablet also comes with an 8MP main camera, with a 5MP sensor in front for selfies and video calls. Xiaomi hasn’t mentioned regional pricing yet, although we’re bound to see more information once it goes live in global markets.
