HoYoverse reveals Orphie & Magus for ZZZ 2.2

HoYoverse has announced the second S-Rank Agent joining the roster of playable characters in Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2 — and it’s a two-for-one deal: Orphie & Magus. Orphie is the girl with red hair and carries Magus, the talking gun that’s the captain of Obol Squad, on her tail.

Orphie & Magus will deal Fire DMG and be another Attack Agent, completing Obol Squad with a decidedly aggressive orientation: Soldier 11 and Seed are Attack Agents as well, while Trigger is the sole Stun Agent on the team.

In their previous appearances in the game, Orphie seemed rather shy and insecure compared to the dominating presence of Magus, but the in-universe quotes accompanying their reveal paint a more balanced picture. For example, there’s an exchange in which Magus threatens to confiscate Orphie’s action figures, which she responds to by threatening to swap out Magus’ holsters with ones colored in pink, after which they come to an agreement beneficial to both sides.

There seems to be a lot of tough love going on between the foul-mouthed tail-gun and its carrier, which should make for a fun dynamic.

Orphie & Magus are set to arrive in ZZZ 2.2 later this year alongside their squadmate, Seed.
