The Samsung Galaxy S26 is probably one of the best compact flagships that you can get this year, and if you’ve been holding off on getting one then now might be the best time to go for it. The base model Galaxy S26 (the smallest of the bunch) is currently on sale right now, with as much as a hundred bucks off its usual retail price thanks to this offer from Amazon.
There’s a lot that Samsung has packed into the Galaxy S26—new this year is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which comes in a special “for Galaxy” configuration specifically tailored for the S26 series. You’re also getting 12GB of RAM and a choice of either 256 or 512GB of internal storage, as Samsung has now removed its older 128GB base storage configuration. For software, you’re getting the latest One UI 8.5 along with Android 16.
The Galaxy S26 also comes with a slightly-larger battery than last year’s model at 4300mAh, although charging speeds remain largely the same at 25W for wired, and 15W for wireless. Likewise, the phone’s camera configuration stays the same with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP 3X telephoto lens. Selfies are handled by a 12MP front camera.
