Emilie Kiser publicly reacted after parenting influencer Kelly Hopton-Jones revealed that she ran over her young son with her car.

Hopton-Jones, 36, took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 15, to address the incident, writing, “Today has been the worst day of our lives. Life can change in the literal blink of an eye. A true nightmare for a parent happened to us today.”

Hopton-Jones recalled getting help from her husband when packing up their car for a quick trip with their daughter to get donuts.

“He helped Lily into the car and was waving goodbye between our car and Henry, who was in the garage. In a matter of seconds, our son was run over by our car. I was driving,” she wrote. “Our neighbors stepped in immediately and took Lily, and we rushed to the emergency room.”

Hopton-Jones confirmed that X-rays and CT scans showed no sign of injuries to Henry’s “organs or spinal cord” or his legs, chest and neck.

“Neurological exam has been reassuring with no signs of head injury or impairment,” she noted. “He does have fractures to his pelvis that will take time to heal, as well as a few abrasions. What stays with me is the doctor saying: ‘He is hurt, but this is something he can recover from.’ A true miracle.”

She added: “We are in shock. We are so sad. But we are so incredibly grateful. … I do know this has changed us.”

In response, Kiser, 27, replied, “I’m so incredibly sorry ❤️‍🩹.” Kiser’s show of support comes after the influencer’s eldest son died in May 2025 after he was found unconscious in the pool at the family’s Arizona home.

Emilie’s husband, Brady Kiser, was at the house with both of their sons when the fatal incident occurred. While authorities submitted a criminal charge recommendation for Brady, 28, no charges were ever filed.

“Loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words,” Emilie wrote via Instagram in August 2025. “I’ve spent days, weeks, months trying to find them and also take the time I’ve needed to digest the loss of my baby.”

She continued: “Trigg is our baby and our best friend. The light and spirit he brought into this world was bright, pure, joyful and undeniable. We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable. I never thought we would experience grief in this way or the pain of losing him so suddenly.”

At the time, Emilie took “full accountability as Trigg’s mother,” adding, “I know I should have done more to protect him. One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it’s something I will never overlook again. I hope amidst this pain, Trigg’s story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss.”
