FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th May, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen reviewed administrative, security and cleanliness arrangements for Eidul Azha and said that sale-purchase of sacrificial animals would be prohibited strictly other than at officially notified sale points across four districts of the division.
She was chairing a meeting in which Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faisalabad Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir, police heads and deputy commissioners of other districts were also present.
Reviewing implementation of the Eidul Azha plan in all four districts, Divisional Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen directed the authorities to ensure that sale and purchase of sacrificial animals should only be allowed at officially notified temporary cattle sale points and no unauthorized markets or roadside sale points would be permitted. She stressed that overcharging in parking arrangements at cattle markets would not be tolerated under any circumstances. She also directed the administration to ensure that buyers and sellers were not subjected to excessive charges during sale and purchase activities. In this regard, she ordered strict and effective monitoring to prevent violations of official instructions.
The divisional commissioner made it clear that there would be no compromise on implementation of the Eidul Azha cleanliness plan.
She directed all local government bodies and relevant departments to keep an alternative “Plan B” ready to deal with any emergency situation during the Eid holidays.
She further instructed the authorities to prepare trenches and appropriate disposal arrangements for safe dumping of offal and remains of sacrificial animals to maintain cleanliness and protect public health during the religious festival.
During meeting, RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera briefed the participants about security plan for Eidul Azha and directed the police heads to ensure close coordination with district administrations for maintaining law & order.
He emphasized that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued for security and crowd management must be implemented in letter and spirit.
The meeting also discussed security and administrative arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, with special focus on maintaining peace, religious harmony and effective coordination among departments.
The participants were additionally briefed about security matters related to Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (FIEDMC) and measures being taken to ensure protection of industrial zones and sensitive installations during upcoming occasions.
