HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Apr, 2026) Hyderabad police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a suspected robber in an injured condition following an alleged encounter near Grid Station Alamdaar Chowk.
According to a district police spokesperson, two armed motorcyclists were standing at the site with the intention of committing a crime and acted suspiciously upon seeing Bhittai Nagar police. In an attempt to evade arrest, the suspects also opened fire on the police party.
Police retaliated, resulting in one suspect being injured and apprehended along with a 30-bore pistol, while his accomplice managed to escape from the scene.
The arrested suspect was identified as Hubdar Ali, son of Dilsher, a resident of the district Sanghar. He was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Initial investigation revealed that the injured suspect is associated with an active gang involved in recent street crimes in various areas of Qasimabad and had previously been involved in serious offenses.
Police have launched a search operation to apprehend the fleeing suspect and further investigation is underway.
