Publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Urban Games today announced a partnership that will see the former taking over publishing duties for Transport Fever 3, the next entry in the popular tycoon series.
The partnership does not extend to intellectual property rights, which will remain with the Swiss developer.
Paradox Interactive to Publish Transport Fever 3
“We are delighted to partner with Paradox Interactive, a publisher that shares our core values and long-term vision. Together, we will continue on the path we have set for Transport Fever 3 and deliver the greatest possible value to the players, for which this partnership will have nothing but positive effects. We are honoured to join forces with such a respected publisher, and Transport Fever 3 is now on an even stronger track to reach its full potential when it launches later this year,” said Basil Weber, Founder and CEO at Urban Games.
“Transport Fever 3 is a perfect fit for the Paradox portfolio and we’re incredibly impressed by what Urban Games has created in this series,” added Mattias Rengstedt, CBO at Paradox Interactive. “The game matches every aspect of what we’re looking for in a new title, offering a deep and endless experience that we think players will love. We’re excited to take this important step for the series together with Urban Games and ship, haul, fly, and truck Transport Fever 3 across the world.”
The publishing partnership announcement comes at a time when Paradox Interactive is refocusing its business strategy on its core areas of expertise – strategy and simulation games –, Transport Fever 3 being a natural fit for its portfolio.
The third entry in the series promises more depth as it challenges us to “design, build, and manage transport empires spanning railways, roads, shipping lanes, and air routes.”
Its four distinctive biomes, ranging from temperate to sub-arctic, each come with different obstacles to overcome as we chase greater efficiency and profits.
Transport Fever 3’s “massively upgraded terrain generation” supports a dynamic, fully simulated world whose settlements evolve and respond to our actions, according to the publisher. The title encompasses a century’s worth of transportation history, including more than 250 authentic vehicles.
The third entry in the series is currently slated to launch in 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
